Observation details

Small, pale warbler. Looked very vireo-like. Light grey above, pale yellow below. Partial white eye ring with lighter brow. Sharp, thin, long beak. Brighter yellow in tail coverts. Very faint streaking on breast. Watched the bird energetically forage in young trees/shrubs. I thought maybe I was hearing a sparrow at first, lower register than the nearby white throated sparrows. Merlin picked up Orange-crowned which perked my interest. Another gentleman who was photographing on the trail got several hundred photos of the bird. My photos are very poor, (sorry) phone camera through my binoculars. I'm attaching my best ID photos along with audio of the bird's call.
