Observation details
Unmistakable. Blue and yellow; blue back, yellow belly. Black beak, white face. Those are the main features I noted, as it quite far away. Very large - around four feet from tip to tip. Longer than perched Black Vulture. Flying in and out of a tall tree. Flight pattern generally floaty - a few flaps and then a glide. Tail very long. Yellow undersides to wings evident only in flight, causing a visual experience like a giant beach ball being thrown on a beach. Graceful. Completely unexpected, and I wonder if this is an escaped pet, due to rarity in eBird in area.
