Observation details
Continuing immature male since 11/10/25 (Ann Stockert).
We joined Kevin Zimmer, who had seen the Baltimore Oriole about thirty minutes earlier in the Pacific Madrone along Mentone Avenue (about 100 yards from the intersection with 14th Street, before it had flown off. Then Herb Elliott arrived and right away spotted the Baltimore Oriole up high in the very same tree, where it stayed for a while before taking off across Mentone Avenue towards 16th Street. After about eight minutes it was spotted on top of a fig tree in the backyard of the residence at 1508 Mentone Avenue, but better seen from the sidewalk in front of the neighboring property (1496 Mentone Ave.)
Yellow overall with orange upper breast; yellow belly fading to light greenish-yellow on the lower belly; yellow undertail coverts; black wings; two white wingbars with the upper one being shorter and wider than the lower one; greenish head; faint dark line through the eye; sharply pointed, shiny metallic-colored bill.
