Observation details
Continuing bird along the far shore when viewed from Cleft Road looking South, it was along the edge of the "point" and not visible from the South side train tracks (we were not allowed onto the ice rink property). The orange spot on the bill allowed it to stand out and can been seen in the absolutely worst photographs of this individual. The white edging of the primaries while the wing are folded allows for the body of the bird to be picked out from amongst the Canada Geese. While there is happened to be snowing and quite windy allowing for poor visibility. If it was not for the fact of this being a known bird, separating the Bean Goose species would not have been possible given the viewing conditions and the distance.
