Observation details

White-rumped Storm-Petrel near the top of the 270 bank. Strong carpal bar and relatively strongly forked tail (along with gray back and darker primaries) point to Leach's though the limited narrow white band on the rump did have us excited for a bit -- it is on the extreme narrow end for a Leach's. No prior records of Leach's Storm-Petrel in November anywhere in the Southern California bight.
