Observation details

Vagrant to the island (observation and photos submitted to SBRC). Three large swifts with typical sickle-shaped wings and forked tails. All birds with same dark (blackish-brown) plumage, except for a white-ish throat patch. All birds silent. Strong flight, rapidly beating their wings or gliding, often swooping down low over the airstrip to catch insects. No scaly underparts, no pale forhead on none of the birds, so likely all adults.
