Observation details

continuing bird first located here by Bob McCay on 4 nov. foraging in the Mid canopy of large eucalyptus trees. I had brief but good views of the bird. plumage resembles first fall male. The rusty reddish/chestnut color on flanks and the bright white wing bars were what first alerted me to the bird. Undertail covers were white, as well as the throat. There were white eye arcs, and a dark line through the eye. The head was greenish. streaks on back. I waited around for at least an hour hoping to get better photos of the bird, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be. Hopefully this bird will stick around and there will be more opportunities to photograph.
