Observation details
Dark raptor with a broad white tail band. I had good looks as it soared just across the street from our yard over a riparian area. Then it swooped into my neighbor’s yard and tried to take a bird (probably a YRWA or WEBL) out of the neighbor’s palm tree just a few feet from me. Crows chased it away.
