Observation details

Male observed actively feeding on a variety of insects in oaks along campground road behind campsite 88 in midst of 30+ warbler flock comprised primarily of Yellow-rumped Warblers with a few Orange-crowned and Townsend's Warblers mixed in. This bird was striking with bold black and white striping on back, black wing bars, white median crown stripe bordered by black lateral crown stripes, white supericilium, white eye-arcs, black lores and ariculars, black streaks on throat, black streaking from upper breast to flanks, white belly and black patterned spotting on undertail.
