Observation details

Continuing young male (Bob McKay 11/04/25) was observed here (35.265954, -120.685578) in oak grove south of eucalyptus grove bordering fields to the north. The bird was bight green on top of head and back with faint black flecks and streaking and was yellow/green on sides of neck with greenish gray auriculars, short dark eye-line, dark lores and yellowish eye-arcs. The paired wing-bars were bold white and separated by dark black panels, the breast was dull yellow fading to a dull white belly with distinct chestnut/rufous wash on flanks and buyy yellow undertail.
