Observation details
*Rare. Continuing find by Cameron R and Jacob D. Gray thrush with white eyering, small black bill, buffy wing flash in-flight and white outer tail feathers. Perching conspicuously at the tops of trees and consuming berries in shrubs along both sides of the road at the northern end of the park. Nearly annual vagrant to Illinois for the last few years and first chaseable bird in Cook since 7/18/22. Likely a product of the consistent westerly winds from the past week.
