Observation details
immature, presumably the same bird reported here several days ago. initially a fly-by, clearly stockier and shorter tailed than nomo (at least 2 also around); also big obvious wing flash of nomo not seen. when finally perched, beigy overall with lots of fine barring all down the front, black mask, stumpier, stocky bill cf nomo. managed a couple of rushed frames at distance that give some documentation-quality (at best) views as it moved between perches several times before flying out of view. bird flew out across the road from the stream area at the SE corner of the property. perched longest in the hedgerow jutting out north from the driveway loop. Last seen diving down from that perch but didn't reappear and couldn't tell what direction it flew. it clearly is covering a wide area around the whole property, so not easy to pin down.
