Observation details

Juv type appearing all-dark in harsh lighting, massive sulid, long scythe-like wings with a long “arm,” stiff flapping with shallow wingbeats and gliding flight, thick neck with large head and bill, longish tail. Plunged a few times. Later flew past at close range, then pursued intently and nearly caught by a Bald Eagle.
