Observation details
Flock flew into the reservoir area 20 minutes before sunset. Counted the birds individually which were all in view at the same time flying in from the East. I observed each bird had the distinctive creamy white coloured neck, white 'headlights' on the wings, and sooty grey wings. Didn't take any zoomed out photos regrettably as I didn't realise this number of White-necked Herons were rare for this area until after I entered the record into ebird. By that time the birds were somewhere down the NW end of the reservoir.
