Observation details

Although we saw many, perhaps +100, I only photographed the close-up shots. Beautiful birds, the female was a brownish-rusty color with black throughout, and beautiful pale yellow eyes. The males appeared very dark with beautiful rusty-orange feather edges and striking yellow eyes. They were in the trees, shrubs, and foraging at the edge of the cut cornfield along the gravel road, which had a small amount of stream-like water on one side of the ditch.
