Observation details

Estimate.. seemingly more.. initially observed a few in the park then saw the mob kettle with 3 red tails over to the west behind the park as I headed up. Around 1 o’clock in brand canyon, a massive congregation of ravens above the eastern ridge near communication tower/lines formed. This lasted a while.. over an hour or 2, with wavering numbers of individuals. At times they almost seemed to be together in pairs. Later, around 4, I noticed ravens perching on the cliff/canyon side a short ways above me flying on and the rocks. Also Noticed some large food-like item in one’s mouth flying off and many others followed.. wonder if it have been a red tail’s remains, possibly, as I saw feathers nearby on the trail..
