Observation details

Continuing bird. Several reports from the Mendenhall Valley over the last few days. Seen by many this morning at Kingfisher Pond and then at the Pioneer Home marsh. From my location at Aurora Harbor, I scoped the distance to the NW hoping for a glimpse of the egret. I was surprised to actually see it flying over the Twin Lakes/hospital area heading SE. I went to get my camera and lost sight of it. A few minutes later, it was flying along the shore of Douglas Island across from Aurora Harbor continuing SE. Gwen B. was also watching it from Aurora Harbor, farther SE of me, and watched it go over the bridge.
