Observation details

The munia in my photo was feeding on seeds below our seed feeder, then perched in a nearby small tree. When I looked at it in the tree I briefly saw two others in similar plumage. Then all three flew out of sight. The one I saw well was brown above, paler tan below with beginnings of the scaley pattern mostly on mid-breast. Very thick gray bill.
