Observation details
First heard chip note. Audio will be attached. We thought the chip sounded curious - sort of between a cardinal chip and myrtle chip. We located the bird in dense weedy island behind the wood/iron bench where the pin is dropped. Photos attached. May be a first winter bird? Large warbler with long tail. Bright yellow from chest to undertail. Grey hood. Strong white eye arcs. Whitish supraloral and pale whitish throat. This report would be the 7th or 8th record for Maine, pending acceptance.
