Observation details

The pale lores, orange bill, and brighter overall plumage suggest this is a member of the Gambel's subspecies. I didn't recognize it as such, it was the eBird reviewer that noticed. The bird was on the edge of the bike path between the parking lot and the start of the causeway, near the patch of Jimsonweed.
