Observation details

Scope views showed a very white underside with faint barring on the secondaries, the tail was white with dark bars, the rather weak sub-terminal band suggests this was a young bird, Raptors of The World Plate 73. The white leading edges to the wings were very obvious and diagnostic of this species, again this may be a juvenile feature. The bird soon drifted away from view. It was picked up again about half an hour later and was photographed as it circled. The white head with blask mask and skullcap are clear.
