Observation details

We heard a flock of chickadees overhead and to the north while walking on S. Century Dr. The calls were higher pitched than the typical calls of MOCH’s with a scratchy/buzzy/squeaky aspect. This contrasts with the clearer, harsher calls of the more common MOCH. Known location for this species. Brief recording attached. Unfortunately, most of the two records were marred by foot steps and other ambient noise.
