Media notes
Almost got the classic picture. Bound to be some mishaps while using exclusively autofocus with a camera/lens that barely seems to work these days...
Observation details
Slowly northbound, first spotted directly overhead at 1007h, rather high up. Appeared very pale underneath in the morning sun (I first called it out as a Tree Swallow), subsequent observation revealed a pale tawny throat, dark back, orange rump, dark forehead, square tail. Lacked contrast. Last seen at 1010h This individual didn't seem to display any super obvious wing molt (although photos may be slightly suggestive of some primaries being replaced??). Quite possibly the same individual seen 30km south by BH and JB the day before (although their bird was headed south). A lifer for Tony and me!
