Observation details

Colony has resettled and is nest building after near 600me/s flow and beach sweeper last week. At least 75 occupied nests. Small gull with a grey back and a fine black bill. Not black-backed. Photos taken, will check count from these. Counted in groups of 5 in the field with 8x42 binoculars; number updated from 300 to 500+, counting from photos. The 28 bbg counted in image (2) is a zoomed in count using a different colour of birds also shown on (1) so not double counted.
