Observation details

Photos of both birds. Cackling 1: Seen in middle of flock. About half the size of surrounding CAGO, many of which were on the smaller side. In addition to size other field marks include short stub bill and steep forehead angle. Plumage not particularly different from average CAGO in flock though this could be a light effect on an overall gray day. Cackling 2: Seen at left edge of flock at same time as bird #1. Again noted small size, short stubby bill, and steep forehead. This bird had a distinct silvery cast as seen on some CACG and was notably even thinner necked than CACG #1.
