Observation details

LIFAH, AND my 400th species in the Wings Over Florida guidelines!!!! Arrived a little after 7 a.m., and the Sulphur- bellied made a brief appearance at 11:25. At 11:00 I decided I was going to fish for a few minutes, and at 11:25 Luis G. called me and said he and a few other birders were on it!!! I have not ran that fast in several years!! Luis had it in the scope, I looked, then looked naked eye, then in bins. Before my bins were down, it slipped back into cover. A few got pics, I did not, and Luis got video. In the video posted to Luis G's checklist, you can literally hear me running up to the scope!!! A 6 hour stakeout, and I literally saw the bird for like 10 seconds!!!! I'll take it!!!! Thanks Luis, as usual, and the other birders for their communication and spotting the Sulphur-bellied Flycatcher!!! What a great bird for FL!!!! **** Pic is obviously a screen shot.
