Observation details
Estimate; between 3-5,000 birds, including additional flocks finding places to land between resting birds. A few geese were sleeping, the vast majority had heads up, but were not feeding or moving around very much. A Northern Harrier twice soared over the crowded pond, landing near the exit pipe leading to the nearly dry south pond. Not one cackler moved, the harrier didn't disturb the huge flock at all. Six geese, near the Coville road pullout, had a white 'necklace' at the base of their black neck. Photos attached.
