Observation details
seen here (40.8416410, -73.9060717) extremely confiding hopping around practically at my feet, singing frequently. The song ends in a "sort of flat upslur" -RZ which is unique to Bicknell's song, the song is also higher pitched and more complex than your average gray-cheeked song and lacks the burry quality of gray-cheeked. As far as appearance, the face is much warmer than your average gray-cheeked and the same warm, reddish tone is seen in the primaries and tail as well. Thanks to Julian Batista, Richard Aracil, and Ryan Zucker for help with the ID and for bringing this to my attention as I had originally ID'd it as a gray-cheeked. A long overdue first county record in eBird for the Bronx.
