Observation details
Minimum number of singing birds (Catharus type song with clear introductory whistle, phrases alternatingly higher and lower key). This species is known to breed in select locations near the crest of the Santa Cruz Mountain range. Habitat is good for them here, mixed forest with lots of madrone, similar to locations further south where I've confirmed breeding on atlas surveys
