Media notes

harsh downslurred rasps from unseen vocalist(s) match rasps recorded at Woods Pk the previous day when BLJAs harassed COHA so presumably that's happening here, sounds like BLJAs chase someone off at the end; 2 consecutive rasps at :20 are in stereo so either 2 birds or 1 bird in motion

Observation details

rasps reminiscent of Black-crowned Night-Heron or Great Blue Heron snarls

Additional species

  • Black-capped Chickadee Poecile atricapillus
  • Blue Jay Cyanocitta cristata
