Observation details
Chunky shorebird found today by Ryan Griffiths. Dark charcoal purple back.White underneath. Longish slightly droopy bill, orange near base and darker tip. Compared to lighter coloured Dunlins that it was feeding beside on the rocks at the end of the pier. Photos taken.
