Observation details
I was immediately questioning this bird. I’m no expert on vireos (never seen a blue headed) but it didn’t feel quite right for cassins. But also not convinced it’s a blue headed vireo. It was initially low down by my birdbath and in the shade. My pics were obstructed and blurry but I had a sense of a lot of white and yellow underneath. It very quickly moved into the highest part of the tree canopy and made it extremely difficult for photos. I noted a dark grey head and a greenish tint to the back. The border between malar and throat/chest seems somewhat distinctive but maybe not convincingly so. It moved into a neighbors yard and I lost sight of it. I will include what pics I have. Initially I reported as BHVI/CAVI. Have changed to CAVI as that’s the most likely candidate.
