Observation details

Found by Andy Carroll on Monday (20/10/2025) feeding around gorse bushes near the Rattray Head car park. Showed well, but often stayed hidden for long periods of time. Common Nightingale, of the subspecies glozii - Eastern Common Nightingale. See photos. Long, rufous tail, pale body overall, distinct wing bar. Jizz almost Shirke-like. First record of this ssp in the UK since 1991, 4th British record. UK Tick. Year Tick.
