Observation details

Red base on bill, slightly curved bill. Shiny green back with darker tail and wings. Small, but not tiny hummingbird. Assumed it was a Scaly-breasted (but it wasn't dull enough, too bright), then thought Blue-vented, but the bill didn't match at all. Also couldn't be a Blue-throated goldentail due to the bill not being entirely bright red and some tail differences. The Canivet's emerald had too straight of a bill and seemed brighter, so that only left the Mangrove.
