Horrendous photo, but bright yellow undertail coverts, lack of wingbars, and yellow breast visible. If you squint you can see part of the eyering
Observation details
Two together along the bike path north of the freshwater pond with Orange-crowned Warblers. Another really bright male near the salt pond. Mediocre photos of one, and abysmal photos of a second. All three birds had grayish heads, yellow throats, and undertail coverts with plain faces and white eyerings. The bird near the salt pond had a very broad reddish crown patch visible at one point making it likely an adult male.
