Observation details
WOW! Continuing bird, refound in the cottonwood trees by the foot bridge, right across from 1699 Arroyo Seco. An unmistakeable bird; golden crown, gray back, black throat and mask, white belly, golden wing patches, and characteristic outer tail markings. Many birders got great looks at it both in the cottonwood trees and in the adjacent sycamore above the trash can. We arrived at 630 am (see prior checklist), and the bird didn't show up until MOMENTS after we drove off. Luckily a pal gave us a call and we zoomed right back and got to spend a good half hour or so with the bird who was super active, bouncing around and generally unconcerned with his celebrity. Amazing to see, truly a gift of a lifer. Thanks to everyone who's shared about this bird!
