Observation details
Male and female/immature seen at close range in aspens on south shore of reservoir, midway between park entrance and fork. Foraging in mixed flock with YRWA. Prominent black cheek patch (duller brown on F/I), broad yellow supercilium stripe from base of bill to back of head. Small yellow patch below eye. 2 white wingbars. Louder dry chip than YRWA heard several times. Multiple good looks for both of us. Attempts to photograph yielded a single partially obscured image, but does show black cheek with yellow crescent below, yellow breast and heavy streaking on flanks all consistent with TOWA.
