Observation details

Medium sized quail reported in this area frequently. The head had a deep and bright Red-brown cap. Only very faint pattern on the back of the neck. Grayish upper body. The wings were mostly gray but the scapulars and coverts were dark reddish brown with broken white lines. Off white stomach to its vent area with contrasting brownish streaking on the side of the stomach. There is a dark patch on its stomach although my photo barely shows this patch.
