Observation details
Including two partially leucistic individuals. Great Spotty has been around for almost a year and was a prolific breeder including siring Little Spotty. Contrary to prevailing wisdom, there hasn't been any negative effects of the lack of pigment, although Great Spotty is just a tad bigger than the other regular juncos in the yard. In fact there may be an advantage in camouflage when visiting the ground feed on the gravel areas of the yard
