Was recording the TOSO song when I kept hearing a “zeeet”. Merlin app reported a SPTO but I needed to see it if I could. Searched in the juniper tree and there it was perched. Sonogram shows a pac-man like blob at 8, 15, 22, 35, 42 & 52 seconds
Observation details
Was recording the TOSO and in behind me within a Juniper tree was a “zeeet” call. Made several times. Merlin reported a SPTO but I wanted to see the bird. Sure enough a Spotted Towhee was sitting in the tree.
