Observation details
Continuing since Wednesday. This warbler had a gold cap, black eye mask and throat, with the cap, mask, and throat separated by white. It had a gray back and wings with a broad gold wing bar. The breast belly and undertail coverts were white with some gray on the sides of the breast. The undertail coverts were long, extending at least half way down the tail. The tail feathers seen from below were mostly white with outer edges and and black at the tips. The legs, eye, and bill were black. The bill seemed proportionality long. We watched the bird actively in sycamores for the entire visit. It largely looked at and probed in dead leaves on the tree or curled up parts of still green leaves, and on at least three occasions grab a long-legged arthropod from the leaves.
