Observation details

*Early. FOY and Bird 162 for my yard. Arrival date listed in BOS verification date guide is October 5th. SNBU are already reported as far south as Maryland this month by another NFC station. This bird called 3 times, and it gives a rather distinctive call, with Lapland Longspur being the only other similar species. However, LALO calls are not clear like this. Note to eBird reviewers: Many examples of this flight call can be referenced using the 'flight call' filter on the Macaulay library under Snow Bunting.
