Observation details

The call note of this bird is what drew my attention - reminded me of an INBU’s but with a bit more of a bell quality. Observed it foraging on Indian Grass seeds for about two minutes. The bill was very large, plumage a brown overall with a darker ‘almost’ crest, dark tail with a slight hint of blue at rump, constantly swishing its tail back and forth, two wing bars and also noted how strongly the tertials were edged.
