Observation details

17 Counted by several birders on a bird walk. Smaller than the mallards close by. Black bill, white behind bill and some with white on the throat. Saw the sky blue forward wing patch, black line bisecting an eye ring. Characteristic feather patterns on the flanks. Photos to follow.
