Observation details
Adult had long reddish brown neck . Throat and head were gray with dark cap. Bill was a bright pink/orange. Black belly and wing with white wing slash visible. Juvenile was tucked in grass but head and upper body similar to adult but with a gray bill.Details and possible pictures TBA. Heat haze was significant.
