Observation details
Was watching a tree in the power line cut parking lot that had some assorted passerines when I caught a raptor shape through the canopy heading my way, the TUTIs began crying bloody murder. Stepped back as it passed into clear view and saw the robust-bodied falcon with its long and pointed wings. It flew with considerable speed, but with infrequent, powerful wingbeats unlike Merlin. Lost it for a moment behind the canopy again, only for it to reemerge and pass over the power line cut.
