Observation details
A rather large, stocky, big-headed, gray mottled shorebird with a bill like a pigeon, this one appearing thicker and longer than American golden-plover when viewed through the scope. A very distant bad photo with the plover right in the center of the image, for proof of sighting. I’m sorry the distance to the BBPL just about exceeded my 100-400 lens with a 1.4 teleconverter.
