Observation details

In thick prairie along the path on the low point of the ridge north of the parking lot. Came in to pishing and sat up in the open. Breast and especially face tinged orange. Streaked below, more so on the flanks with just a thin necklace. Contrasty white median crown stripe. Very thin pale eye-ring. Back and nape intricately patterned in light and dark with some purplish hues. Short tail held cocked at an angle.
