Observation details

Lifer. Rare. Continuing. Juvenile. Brown and gray back, white underneath. Orange on top half of bill, black on bottom half. Found it on the ledge, someone tucked into the side of the Capitol Reflecting Pool. Watched it happily paddling around in search of bugs. Very cute bird. Smaller than I expected. Photos taken.
