Observation details

Was looking for continuing birds seen in this location recently, roosting among dead trees just inside the boundary of Wallal Downs Station. A lot of heat haze made it hard to find them but fortunately one was harassed and chased by a Magpie-lark which gave me beautiful views of the black bar of its underwing in flight. It settled in another tree further along and I had good scope and bin views. Distant photos taken from outside fence. A second bird looked to be a juvenile with orange in its plumage but that could have been heat haze and poor light.
